Dalhousie Castle Hotel was an amazing experience for us. The best aspects included the stunning themed four poster bed room with a lovely view. The cleanliness of the room and the well-maintained grounds were impressive. The exceptional lunch and dinner at the dungeon restaurant exceeded our expectations, with friendly and accommodating staff. Located in a secluded area, this historical castle provides a unique and peaceful atmosphere. The arched stone dining hall, adorned with suits of armor, offers an impressive setting for meals. The friendly staff, including the manager Dave, adds a personal touch to the stay. The spacious themed rooms, like the four poster suite in the turret, are a treat for the eyes. Guests can also enjoy the falconry experience in the chapel and explore the castle's public areas, including the lounge and library bar.
The shower in the room was small, making it inconvenient for guests with mobility issues.

Had an amazing time at the castle for New Year's. Staff were extremely helpful and arranged an early check-in. The chapel was a perfect setting for the countdown and the food was delicious. Our evening ended with a toast in the old library. Sadly, we didn't have time to use the spa or try the dungeon restaurant, but they looked amazing. The room was small but cozy, with a great bathroom and shower. Love the historic feel of the place and the beautiful grounds.
Also, the lack of heat in the room made it difficult to dry our towels. However, the staff provided additional towels upon request.

We had a wonderful stay at a charming castle hotel. The location was perfect, right next to the castle, and we enjoyed a drink in the cozy Library with squashy sofas. Our room was spacious and luxurious, with lovely bath products. The service from Scott, who served us in the Library and Dungeon, was amazing. He was friendly, chatty, and knowledgeable. Breakfast in the Orangery had a great view, and the food was delicious.
The spa was smaller than expected.

The room and bathroom were of a high standard, with a comfortable bed and powerful shower. The staff were welcoming and provided attentive service. The breakfast was delicious, with quality ingredients, and the on-site spa was a wonderful addition. the hotel provided a special and amazing experience from start to finish.
One negative aspect was the noise disturbance caused by intoxicated guests in the lounge, which was not ideal before dinner.

I had such an amazing time staying at this hotel! The location was perfect - nestled in a quiet area with beautiful surroundings. The staff went above and beyond to make sure I had everything I needed, from room service to dry cleaning. The room itself was luxurious and comfortable, with all the amenities I could ask for. I loved the sitting area and terrace, where I could relax and take in the garden view. The hotel also had a variety of leisure facilities, including an indoor swimming pool and spa, which added to the overall experience. The staff even surprised us with a complimentary bottle of champagne to celebrate a special occasion. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a luxurious and comfortable stay.
This hotel is also perfect for families with children. They not only provided a warm and friendly welcome to a small toddler but also made arrangements to provide warm milk at early hours.
